Product Details
🟤 This is the plain-spoken version of a percolator piece. A 10-inch straight tube in clear glass, amber on the mouthpiece, the perc dome and the foot, and nothing else going on — which is the point. Everything happening inside is visible from the outside. 💨
📷 About the photographs
Straight up: the pictures on this page show the black version of this pipe. The one you will actually receive is the amber colourway — the same tube, the same perc, the same downstem and bowl, with warm amber-brown glass on the mouthpiece, the perc dome and the foot instead of black. The maker never produced a photograph of the amber one, and we would rather tell you that here than let you find out when you open the box.
🌳 The perc
A tree percolator sits in the middle of the tube: a coloured dome with slitted arms hanging off it, so the draw is broken up through the arms rather than coming straight up the tube. Because the body is clear, you can actually watch it work, which is more than you can say for most coloured glass.
🧊 Ice catch
Above the perc, three pinches are set into the tube wall. Drop cubes in through the mouthpiece and they rest on the pinches instead of falling into the water.
🔧 What comes with it
- A removable downstem, slits cut into the tip so it diffuses on the way in
- A clear glass bowl with a handle, so you are not buying one separately
- A flared disc foot — it stands up on its own without being top-heavy
The downstem and bowl both pull out, so it strips down to three pieces for cleaning.
❓ Questions people actually ask
Does it come with a bowl? Yes — a clear glass bowl is included.
Why is the pipe in the photo a different colour? Because no photograph of the amber one exists. What you get is amber.
Can I get it in another colour? No. Amber is the only one we have, and we are not able to get more of this piece.
Does the downstem come out? Yes, and so does the bowl.
Can I put ice in it? That is what the pinches above the perc are for.
