The Glycerin Coiled Stem Water Pipe does one thing that ordinary glass cannot: it holds cold. The coloured section in the neck is a sealed spiral filled with glycerin, and glycerin thickens in a freezer instead of turning to ice, so the coil comes out properly cold and stays that way through a session.
Cold smoke is a different experience. The harshness drops off, the flavour comes forward, and a lungful that would normally catch at the back of the throat goes down smooth. People who find glass too rough usually find this piece easy.
Underneath the coil it is an honest little beaker — a wide, heavy cone base that will not tip, with an angled glass-on-glass joint and the bowl already in it. At six inches it sits on a shelf rather than a floor.

🧊 How long does it need in the freezer?
Tip the water out first, then give the piece half an hour to an hour. Glycerin does not freeze solid, so there is nothing to thaw — take it out, add fresh water and go.
💧 How long does it stay cold?
Long enough for a session. The coil gives up its cold slowly, which is the whole reason for using glycerin instead of ice.
🎨 Can I pick the colour?
Not online — all five ship assorted and are pulled at random. In store you can choose from what is on the shelf.
🔧 Does it have a percolator?
No. The coil chills, it does not filter. Diffusion is the downstem and the water, the same as any beaker this size.
✅ How do I clean it?
Pull the bowl, then isopropyl alcohol and coarse salt through the base as usual. Let it come back to room temperature first and never run hot water into it straight out of the freezer — glass that cold can crack.
